Toxpia is a state-of-the-art botulinum toxin type A (Botox) that uses a vacuum-drying lyophilization, as a result of which it is protected from temperature changes and can be transported without a cold chain. This freeze-drying also increases the purity of the product while minimizing protein denaturation as the risk of foaming during the dilution process is significantly reduced. The shelf life of Toxpia toxin is 6 to 9 months. Once diluted and opened the vial requires refrigeration at all times, being between 4º to 6º degrees. In the same way it can be kept refrigerated open for up to 30 days without losing effectiveness.
Toxpia botulinum toxin is used to temporarily improve glabellar wrinkles (wrinkles or fine lines formed between the eyebrows and extending to the middle of the forehead) by temporarily reducing muscle activity. The age range for applying Toxpia is 19 to 65 years of age.
Dilute with sterile 0.9% preservative-free 0.9% saline to 100 U/2.5 ml (4 U/0.1 ml). Using 30 gauge needles, inject 0.1 ml at 2 sites for each corrugator muscle
and 1 site for the procerus muscle, for a total of 20 U at 5 sites.
